LAKESIDE TERRACE

FROM THE COMMUNITY MANAGERS DESK                       JANUARY     2005

Well, another year has come and gone and we have seen many changes within the community. As many of you already know Vi v and I will be leaving by April for sure. They are in the process of interviewing for our positions at this time within the Hometown America Corporation. We are moving back to Michigan to be with our families.
There are so many of you that we will miss, we have gotten to know so many of the residents these past almost 2 yrs. We have sold almost 50 homes since we came in June 2003 so you have many new neighbors to meet and greet. We are sad to say that we have lost some great ones as well. Please, remember to help those you can that have lost loved ones.
-

As usual, the decorating "team" out did themselves this year. It amazed us last year, how much you do in usually a 2 day time frame! You make Hometown America proud to have you as residents.

On January 22,2005 we will be celebrating 20 years that Lakeside Terrace has been here. We will be honoring the 10 residents and their spouses with an informal gathering and will be have refreshments and cake for all who can attend. There will be a sign up sheet in the clubhouse, so that we may know how many to plan on, please..There will be no charge for this but we will need a count. Thank you.

Please Note: your taxes are due with your January rent on
January 1,2005. This can be on one check or two.

Also, we will no longer be accepting .post dated checks here in the office. If you would like to make arrangements with another resident to turn your checks in, that is fine. We
do not have an exact date when they will begin debiting from your account for rents...if you choose to have it that way.

Well, we are getting many golf carts in the community, but they need to have a "desiqnated" area instead of just on the lawn beside or in front of your homes. Please, we dont want to start looking like a "trailer park". Either, put blocks, or stones down where the cart is to be parked, .or under your carports. There is no parking on the lawns for vehicles...and this qualifies. Remember you irrigation systems are not far underground either, and can be broken.

Thank you for another year with all of you.

Viv and Gail Virgo Community Managers

The Good Sams Club would appreciate your cooperation when we have a funeral meal to prepare. A notice announcing the arrangements for services, fellowship and meals will be posted in the Clubhouse on the bulletin board as soon as we have the information to pass onto the park residents. Please use the sign up sheets. We must know the number of people who plan to attend said function. . We can then be prepared to make the fellowship memory more comfortable for the bereaved.

FYI: Please be sure you have a clip outside your door for messages. This will enable folks to leave information at your home and also deliver your Seagull.

CHRISTMAS TRIM: On December 7th, Lakeside Terrace residents enjoyed a delicious chili dinner before viewing the beautiful lights and decorations sprinkled throughout the community. Larry and LYnn Seeley along with their committee of "little" elves did a great job of stringing colored lights, decorating trees, and helping to bring holiday color to Lakeside Terrace.

FOND FAREWELL: The Piccidilly Lilly's of Lakeside Terrace Red Hat Society hosted a Farewell Tea for longtime resident, their Queen Mum, Peg Smith, on December 8th. A touching poem composed and read by Judy Laqualia brought both tears and smiles to all in the room and after sharing memories and a "spot of tea"; Peg Smith named Evelyn Heinfeld New Queen Mum.
